Change Georgia's State Flag and Relocate All Confederate Monuments to Private Property.

The petition is support of having the Georgia State Assembly draft and pass the following bill:
WHEREAS, many of the monuments that commemorate the Confederate States of America were erected post-1900 and in support of the Segregationist Era, and
WHEREAS, there remain unrepealed Jim Crow Era laws in Georgia, and
WHEREAS, Georgia’s current flag consists predominantly of elements from the first national flag of the Confederate States of America, and
WHEREAS, these flags and monuments are symbols used by domestic terrorist organizations to symbolize race-based disdain and to intimidate minorities, therefore
BE IT ENACTED
Section 1: All Confederate monuments shall be relocated to private spaces or destroyed, within a year of the reenactment of this law.
Section 2: All Jim Crow Era laws that were created for the purpose of race-based discrimination – whether currently enforced or not – shall be repealed.
Section 3: Modify the State of Georgia's flag to consist of the state seal upon a blue background or any other design that excludes symbols that pay homage to the Confederate States of America.
Section 4: This act shall take effect on January 1, 2021.
