Ethics investigation into Casey Cagle and his threats to constituents

On February 26, 2018, via Twitter, Lieutenant Governor and Gubernatorial candidate, Casey Cagle made the following threat to the Georgia based corporation:

"I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA. Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back."

The threatened party, Delta Airlines, (Delta) is one of Mr. Cagle's constituents as the Fourteenth Amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court.  The National Rifle Association (NRA) is not a Georgia corporation and is therefore not a constituent of Mr. Cagle.  The NRA has contributed substantial sums of money to the Georgia Republican Party, funds that are helping Mr. Cagle in his Gubernatorial race.  We feel that Mr. Cagle's obligation to his constituents has been compromised by his devotion to an outside organization.

It is highly unethical for an elected official to threaten punishment to a constituent for not supporting or giving discounts to a group which the official supports.  It is petty and not becoming of any adult, especially one who seeks to run our state.  Mr. Cagle has shown he is not able to serve his constituents before his personal support for an outside organization.

We seek a full ethics investigation into Mr. Cagle and any appropriate punishment the ethics committee recommends.
