The last time the Georgia Standards team revised the eighth grade social studies standards, they took out all of the women, except for a bit about Mary Musgrove. This is unfair to everyone learning and teaching the standards, not just the women. Firstly, young girls have no historical role models to look up to, which is a large part of inspiration and becoming who you are. Our learning, living, and overall morale would improve and strengthen our will to learn and enjoy learning. Women have had such an important role in the formation of our country, so let's put them back in the picture!
