Drop all charges on Army Veteran Michael Hammons for rescuing dog from sweltering car!
This petition made change with 320 supporters!
Army veteran Michael Hammons was arrested Saturday after he smashed the window of a Mustang convertible to rescue a trapped dog from a sweltering car. The owner of the vehicle had left her Yorkshire terrier in her car with no water and the windows rolled up in 86 degree weather! Michael is now being charged with criminal trespassing and could face up to a year in prison and a $1000 fine if convicted because the owner of the dog is pressing charges against him! While others did contact the police he took action and saved that dogs life. He is a HERO not a CRIMINAL! Georgia has a law in place to save children and the elderly with no repercussions in this situation but NOTHING for animals! Please take action as Mr. Hammons did and sign this petition to save him as he did for the dog he saved.
