Do not overturn Georgia White Supremacist Couple's conviction
This petition had 131 supporters
This is a counter-petition to Governor Deal asking him NOT to overturn the convictions of Georgia couple Kayla Norton and Jose Torres. People affiliated with hate groups are promoting a petition to overturn their convictions. "Norton was sentenced on one count of violating Georgia's street gang act and one count of making terroristic threats. Torres was sentenced on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of terroristic threats and one count of violating the street gang act." There should be no two tier system of Justice, one for those belonging to white supremacists groups and the other for the rest of the population. They not only terrorized one family, they terrorized an entire community and the laws should not be applied differently because of the color of skin or who you know.
We are asking Govenor Deal to ignore the pleas of white supremacists asking to pardon their buddies. Their petition is not about justice, these are people who think they should be above the law.
We ask you as fellow Georgians and concerned US citizens to uphold the law as it pertains to all Georgians, not just those who think their special.
