Install a traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 124 (Braselton Hwy.) and Lena Carter Road.

This intersection is dangerous without a traffic signal. SR124 (Braselton Hwy.) is a major thoroughfare and Lena Carter Rd. is the access road to Mountain View High School as well as for buses taking children to/from Twin Rivers Middle School. Many of the drivers are inexperienced teenagers. Also some of the more experienced adult drivers make dangerous turns including a school bus carrying handicapped children (see first minute of video). The attached video only shows traffic prior to classes starting at the High School. There are 3 other times during the day that traffic is just as bad if not worse. Please understand that the video shot was just prior to the time change so normally, these cars are at this intersection in the dark. We have been begging the Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT) for a traffic signal here and they always tell us that there isn't enough traffic to justify it. Yet when they do the traffic count it is done over the Christmas/Winter break or during the summer months when the schools are closed.
Please help us protect our children and ourselves and sign this petition.
