- Ever since the pandemic people have been getting evicted, put out of homes, and jobs. Not only that, but now landlords everywhere are increasing rent. 1 bedrooms are 1,000+ and 2 bedrooms are the price of houses. People are still recovering from job loss. The US has made 19 trillion dollars since the pandemic started, and none of that is going towards the people. Georgia rental assistance takes months to approve so it’s not even helpful. We need help and someone who understands. If rent is lowered, this will help single moms, those who are looking for homes, and those with minimum wage. This will be a huge impact on the community and economy because if people could afford homes, there would be more money to circulate. If this happens the economy can and will change for the better.
