Bethany Brown started this petition to Georgetown Ma Public Schools

In March, there was a push for pool testing in order  for our children to return to full time in person learning at the schools. Participation was very low and schools still moved forward with in person learning full time…zero spread of COVID was the result. Weeks later children were allowed to remove their masks during outdoor sports, recess, or other outdoor activities on school grounds… once again zero spread. We are now into August and our children are attending camps (some indoors), going to stores, restaurants, movie theaters, hotels without masks and there STILL has not been an outbreak or increased hospitalizations in our community. It is time to give our children their rights, freedom and the ability to live their lives without making them feel responsible for spreading a virus that “the science” has shown they are not “super spreaders” nor are they becoming ill as the majority of children show mild symptoms. Those who want to mask up have that right and those who don’t have that right as well. Georgetown Public Schools should not require students to wear masks.
