At GRC, Soiree has been in December for years, and suddenly GRC wants to move it to February. Soiree is supposed to be a holiday winter dance, and having it in February is more like celebrating Valentines day, rather then Christmas. Having Soiree in December helps to space out Homecoming, Soiree and Prom perfectly, and it's such a good way to end the year! 

     Having Soiree in February and then having Prom around the end of April, is just not realistic and it can become very hard to find two dresses in that span of time, without breaking the bank. Soiree has always been a dance that happens in December, so let's keep it that way.
