Prove £71 a week is "generous" by living on that for a year
Chancellor George Gideon Osborne, in defending his cuts to the country's benefits system, asserts that the level of support which Jobseeker's Allowance provides, at £71 per week, is "generous".
Alongside his colleague, Iain Duncan Smith, who is being petitioned to prove he can "manage" on £53 a week, we the people of the United Kingdom, call on the government to cap George Osborne's salary at £71 per week. As with IDS, this should be for a period of one year.
Then we'll discuss what is "generous".
