This house has been standing for 140 years. As of last month the current owners have won a 3 year fight with the city to tear it down for "green space". This house sits at 2500 Lake Michigan Drive NW. If you have ever driven down this street you can't miss the big white house on the hill. It was built in the 1800's in the style of Italiante Victorian. One of the only ones on the West Side, and one of the few in the city. This amazing home has captured the hearts of many. If it has touched yours and you can't imagine never seeing it again, please sign this petition. We as a community have strength in numbers and we can make this home a Historic Landmark of the West Side. Thank you for helping to keep this house standing in hopes of another 140 years.

Please stop the demolition of 2500 Lake Michigan Drive. We as a community feel it is important to preserve our local history. The house is 140 years old and is structurally sound. The current owners want to demolish it to make a "green space". Once it's demolished, it's gone forever so please consider putting this on hold so a landmark study can be completed. Thank you for your time and consideration.
