Give Councils the power to protect nature reserves

Seething Wells is a classic case where bio diversity is being destroyed by developers who are purposefully stripping it of all life to be able to give the option that anything, ie building is better than the mess they have created. Appalling. It was a beautiful wildlife area and could be again in the right hands, ie Community, council or charity. Unique Historical heritage and wildlife site could be lost under concrete forever
I am sure there are similar stories around the country. Councils need more rights to stop these injustices. They are on the ground and more able to action than the police, policecan be their back up if necessary.
