Support the use of “PulsePoint” by Genesee County 911 to inform the public and save lives
Why this petition matters

The residents of Genesee County are constantly wanting to be informed of what exactly is going on in the county at a certain moment in time. When someone sees a fire truck going down the road or an ambulance headed into their subdivision, they may wonder what’s going on and why they’re here. Through the use of the app “PulsePoint”, residents will be able to see all of the current Fire/EMS incidents going on in Genesee County at any given time along with the address of the incident, what the incident is, and what departments are going out on the call. This can be especially helpful for firefighters, EMS, and police officers who are off duty and may be able to respond to a scene nearby to provide potentially life saving care before the arrival of other emergency services. PulsePoint also has an a CPR and AED “How-to” tutorial integrated into the app itself along with the ability to alert individuals who choose to receive nearby “CPR Alerts” indicating a need for a CPR certified individual. This app has the potential to save lives *prior* to any emergency services member arriving on scene, and I really think that the county could benefit from this. Hundreds upon thousands of other agencies around the United States are using this app even some right here in Michigan (Livingston County and the Morenci Fire Department )! Please take this into consideration and be a part of the change!
