Why this petition matters

Climate change has various different effects on the Arctic environment such as

Rising sea levels, change in precipitation patterns, loss of fish, birds and marine mammals, shrinking sea ice, increase in shipping, increase in oil drilling

All of these effects threaten wildlife:

Polar bears, Fish, Walruses, Whales, Caribou, Reindeer, Foxes

An extensive number of animals are affected.
Climate change also affects human activity in the Arctic.
The effects of climate change are all negative and it is essential that action is taken.
There are various solutions being implemented currently, however, there could be more for better results.

Overall, there have been various efforts taken to reduce climate change. This includes transitioning to forms of renewable energy, promoting methods that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, etc. However, it is essential that there is more immediate action taken for the animals under threat in the Arctic.

You, as an individual can cause a change by signing our petition. If this petition reaches three thousand signs, we'll start our own organisation that can get in touch with larger organisations to make a change.
