There should be a maximum limit on how much should be spent on festive decorations.

Recently I heard that a Durga Pooja pandal worth  10 crore has been built somewhere in Kolkata. Some years back I heard that someone donated 600Kg gold to Shirdi Sai baba. I believe that true essence of any pooja is service to humanity and not show off. I think Sai baba would have been happier if money worth 600Kg of gold would have been used for education of those who can't afford it. Here I want that our government should take initiative and put a maximum limit on how much should be utilized for making pandals temples mosques gurudwara or other religious infrastructure and decorations like mukut throne etc. And any donation money exceeding that amount must go to a fund and this combined fund from all religious institutions should be used to provide scholarship to students for higher studies. They can encourage students to compete for it. I feel that Ma Durga would have been happier if that 10 crore would have been utilized in some productive way and not wasted on pandal decorations. I request friends from all religions to support this idea...JAI HIND
