Make Michigan Keep Internal Combustion Engines

There's recently been a ban going on with internal combustion (gasoline) engines throughout the country. These cars with these engines range from a long history thats important to Detroit the MOTOR City. Ranging back to classic muscle like the trans am, challengers and mustangs... All the way to new and efficient, Malibus, Camrys, Accords, and more. Gasoline cars built this nation and have been an integral part of this states history. The Automotive industry is essential to Michigan. And if you look, battery operated cars are more pollutive to dispose, not nearly affordable for lower and middle class income brackets, and not nearly as efficient as gas cars. Not to mention there is NO infrastructure for them! It takes at least 30 minutes on a quick charge to fill an EV, over 3 times the amount of time it takes to pump a tank of gas, and a quick charger degrades the battery quicker because they're not set up for it. We NEED gas engines, or companies like Ford, GM, Chrysler... Even foreign companies will struggle to survive in this new electric market. And even have a chance of going bankrupt. There Is no sense whatsoever for this kind of ban. Do some research, electric cars are no where near ready for global markets. Please... don't ban this. Millions of mechanics will lose their jobs, and it's too expensive to take to the dealers... Banning IC Engines is a huge mistake.
