In Apex Middle there should be at least one gender-neutral restroom in each grade/hallway/floor.  There are people who do not identify as male or female or are still transitioning and do not feel comfortable in either gender restroom as it creates a sort of individual label. For example, if you are non-binary where do you go? You are not female, you are not male, you don't want to go in either because of you go into the females it creates a subconscious label that you are female, same if you go in the male's it creates a label. What are they supposed to do, just not use the restroom? This school is supposed to be excepting but we don't even have a restroom for certain gender identities to use.  If you sign this petition it would help tons of people in this school who do not feel comfortable in what is supposed to be a safe space.
