Everyone deserves a place to piss. At Valparaiso University, gender non-conforming individuals do not have access to restroom facilities that affirm their gender identities. There has been an increase in individuals who require non-gendered facilities, so we believe that Valpo should accommodate for these individuals. Part of Valparaiso University's mission and values state that we are dedicated to mutual respect and freedom for everyone. Incorporating gender-neutral bathrooms is a step in the right direction for equality on campus.  The last thing anyone should have to worry about is where they are allowed to go to the bathroom.
