Dear Mr. President and Madam Vice President. 

I know you agree with me when I say that there are not enough girls in leadership positions! More than 50% of college graduates are girls but less than 25% of girls got into leadership positions! We need equal girls and boys in leadership positions!

My first reason why girls should be in leadership positions is because they value work life balance. Most women are mothers and have a job. Lots of people feel women can only be one or the other, but we can be both! And that’s unfair to the girls that want to work to provide for their family! Boys aren’t the only ones who are strong. Girls can be teachers, doctors, lawyers, the Vice President, the actual President! We need more opportunities in leadership so we can influence society.

My second reason why girls should be in leadership positions is because they are nurturing. They care for others. They want everyone to be equal. But it’s hard when girls don’t get accepted for their gender. It’s sad. They want to be in high positions, but they can’t get them for how they look, how they dress, and their gender! It doesn’t add up! Why are boys allowed to be all kinds of stuff when girls are limited! It’s nonsense! Plain nonsense.

My third reason  why girls should be in leadership is they focus on teamwork. They always work together. I’ve heard my mom’s phone calls and she is always trying to work with her co-workers. I know that most women that work in leadership positions always work together. They are also persistent. They never give up. They always try their best. I am sure that girls can serve in these positions just as much as boys. Girls can bring a new point of view. All jobs need ideas from both genders, like kids need a mom and a dad to be their strongest. Girls want to help others! Don’t you agree?

In conclusion I think girls should be in leadership positions, because they value work-life balance, they are sensitive and nurturing, and they focus on teamwork. Please sign this petition if you want more girls in leadership positions. Girls need more opportunities for career choices. I know some female leaders, and I want to be a female leader.
