Recently, as a gift for her birthday, 15 year old Talia Whale left Geelong VIC and went to visit her Aunty in Newcastle NSW. Unbeknownst to her parents, both VIC and NSW were about to enter into lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic, and young Talia would get stuck there. 

Her parents have repeatedly applied for permits to bring Talia home, but to no avail. They’ve had to reschedule and cancel multiple flights, and lost money during a time when they’re already struggling in their efforts to get their girl home, but their fight is falling on deaf ears. She has now been away from her mum, stepdad, sister, baby brother and dad for far too long and both her mental health, and her families mental health are suffering greatly as a result. Lost education due to being away from school is taking its toll, constant tears, anxiety and depression is now taking hold, and Talia’s family are fearing the worst may happen if they don’t get her home soon. 

Too many lives are already being lost at the hands of this pandemic, let’s not lose another one when it can so easily be prevented… BRING TALIA HOME NOW!
