For many years we, the residents of Mnandi AH, Knoppieslaagte 385 and Leazonia AH have been suffering power outages, this problem has escalated VERY dramatically in the past 12 months. We don't know where the problem lies. We do know however that we are left in the dark, literally, our gate motors, electric fences etc runs out of battery backup within a few hours and without those defenses our throats can be cut or we can be simply shot to death by criminals. Or worse still tied up and tortured to death. It can only be due the general lack of maintenance on the distribution network or lack of competence of staff or availability of staff. Whenever a power failure occurs in our area it is reported numerously by residents virtually within minutes. There is never any feedback as to what the problem was. We DEMAND that you investigate the root cause of our power outages and take immediate and appropriate action to resolve the issues. We after all pay dearly for "network availability charges" before we use a single unit of electricity. WE NEED YOU TO SORT THE PROBLEM!!
