We want the government to lower gas prices. Why you may ask well because it is impacting people's life negatively. This can cause stress and worry for some. Gas prices have risen because of the Ukraine war and inflation, but mostly because of the war. According to energy.gov, " Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Louisiana produce more than 50 percent of U.S. natural gas." We believe this is true therefore there would be no reason to raise the price of gas.  We ask ourselves daily how long this will last. USA TODAY says, "The high prices are likely to stick around for not days or weeks, like they did in 2008, but months."  We don't support this and ask for a change. We use gas for our vehicles to transport from one place to another. As newsnationnow.com states, "Higher gas prices mean that each of us pays more at the pump, leaving us less money to spend on other goods and services." This causes much worry and stress. Gas prices are being risen not to think about how this may impact people who may not be able to afford gas at a high price. Gas prices have been up more than ever now and it is making a bad impact on people's life. This change; gas prices lowering, will impact by saving money and getting gas at a more affordable price. We care about the gas prices because they can economically impact our families, loved ones, and community. That is why we are demanding and asking for people to support this petition.
