Protests are happening all over the country due to the stay at home order in place caused by COVID-19. Void of logic and common sense, people are looking to their own self-interests rather than towards the public health. Those that choose to protest are not only endangering their own lives, but those of service workers, healthcare workers, public servants, and essential workers. Unfortunately, media coverage of these protests only serve to embolden these science deniers. Thus, I would like all of California to show support for the Governor’s actions as California has ALWAYS been the beacon of progress for this nation. Huntington Beach does not define us. Orange County does not define us. Opinions not based on scientific facts do not define us. Stay home and stay safe, this too will soon pass.
