Current COVID "Mandate" updated Nov 16th 2020 states "People in California must wear face coverings when they are outside of the home, unless one of the exemptions below applies."

Exemption "Persons younger than two years old.  These very young children must not wear a face covering because of the risk of suffocation."

What this means is that children as young as 2 years old are now being forced to wear masks instead of optional when entering many public places.  Including pre school, a place where our very young (aged 2-5) attend to learn and develop their very first basic and social skills.

Has there been any long term studies to possible harmful psychological side effects of masking a 2 year old child during their pre school aged social learning?  A time when our youngest generation is learning their very first language and how to pick up and use facial queue's. What are we teaching our young children?  I personally believe that there is harmful side effects.  I also believe that the impossible task of FORCING them to wear this mask does not produce a benefit that outweigh these social and psychological side effects. 

I urge you all to take a minute and think of a 2 year old you know, or have interacted with.  Now ask yourself.  Is this Safe? Is it doable to get a 2 year old to properly sanitize, keep clean, and finally keep on and wear it?  I'm not talking about having it hang below the nose, dangle on an ear. or god forbid reside around the neck to be grabbed onto or snagged.  I'm talking about performing a task that most adult aged humans struggle with.  A task that some agree helps prevent the spread of Covid19 when performed properly.  Sanitizing and wearing a clean fitted mask.  If we can all agree that it's almost impossible for all children, but maybe doable for some, then I ask you one simple question.  Why is it "mandatory"?
