The Medical Board of California is supposed to be an organization that we, the people, can go to for help when we have been hurt by the very people we trust with our lives. But instead it has become nothing but a corrupt organization facilitating the negligent treatment of patients across California. The Medical Board of California has allowed doctors to repeatedly hurt patients and continue practicing. They allow these indivuals to mistreat and misdiagnos, sometimes resulting in death, without consequence. This has to stop.

In 2014 my boyfriend was lied to and given an unauthorized injection of depo medrol, a steroid, next to his spine when he was supposed to receive shoulder surgery. As a result he became very sick (still sick to this day) and immediately notified the hospital. Not only was he turned away from the hospital upon complaint(all recorded), the hospital then went out of their way to fraud documents and suppress my boyfriends claims of adverse reactions. 

When we opened a claim with the MBC, Nichole Bowles closed his case without proper investigation and concluded that the doctor did nothing wrong. It was obvious she didn't go over documents or listen to our recording we have that proves his records were frauded. So we had to open a new claim and drive from Hayward to Sacramento to meet in person multiple times because she would take over a month to respond to our emails. But both times she closed his case and concluded that the doctor did nothing wrong. Again, without proper investigation. So we contacted her supervisor, Sharlene Smith but still no luck. 

If you don't know when trying to obtain legal help of any kind, time is of the essence. The Medical Board pushed my boyfriend out of statue of limitations. They are not at all tentative enough or communicate well enough to handle people lives. My boyfriend of living a life of pain because of the MBC and their failure to act. 

The Medical Board of California is supposed to prevent things like this from occurring. They are supposed to take the time to communicate and properly investigate before closing a case. Not aid these doctors in abusing their victims. 

Please sign this petition to get Gavin Newsom to initiate an investigation into the Medical Board of California. My Boyfriend is not the only one to be mistreated by this organization, sadly. This system is being used to protect bad doctors and it has to stop.

Gavin Newsom, please put a stop to this. Bring back the integrity of our Medical system.
