Marina High-school hasn’t done much to counter attack the growing Corona Virus outbreak aside from canceling spring sports and telling people the wash there hands and not to make much contact. There is no enforcement happening at the school to prevent a possible outbreak from starting. We shouldn’t wait for someone to get it, and then cancel school because that puts other students at risk for contracting it too. We need to act now so that doesn’t become a reality. The fact of the matter is students are very negligent when it comes to not spreading germs. I’ve seen first hand people sneezing on there desks, coughing without covering there mouth and even putting there mouth on the water fountains. Marina is merely suggesting we wash our hands and not make contact with people. But obviously kids are going to ignore that, and that’s where we as a school are falling short. There’s only been 8,000 total tests as of right now for corona virus, so someone could have it and they wouldn’t even know until it gets to serious. I wanna close things off by saying the survival rate for us kids are much greater but we can still spread the virus to people aren’t adept to fighting the virus off. Like teachers, parents, and other family. I firmly believe the best course of action to take right now is to step up online classes, which shouldn’t be a problem considering most if not all our work is already digitized or we can submit by sending in photos. So please let’s stop this before it’s to late
