Vivian Maniago started this petition to Governor Gavin Newsom

People with disabilities are affected around the world with ableism. Ableism is discrimination against people with disabilities. It can come in forms like saying mean things to them, talking like they are a baby to them, not accommodating to them, not casting disabled actors for disabled characters, and not having ramps, elevators, etc. in buildings. There should be better laws in place to secure the rights of disabled people. For example, making it mandatory to have ramps, elevators, etc. in buildings, making it so screenings for disabilities won't happen(because then they might choose to abort which is stupid), making stricter laws in school to prevent all discrimination, make jobs more accessible to people with special needs, and making larger fines for people who are not disabled who park in those spots, sit on those spots in public transport for people with disabilities(i mean its kinda rude to fine someone for sitting......but still). We can also get more people with disabilities in congress, the white house cabinet, and the president. We can also know that disability is not all or nothing, and not to call them names like "insane", "crazy", "retarded", or "lame". I care about this because people with disabilities aren't all that different.
