There are way to many problems with the park as presented.

Too much development is destroying the ambiance of people's neighborhoods, destroying the environment, and driving wildlife to extinction.

We do not need hundreds of additional cars on South Grade. In the last few years one pedestrian has been killed and there have been many traffic accidents. We live on South Grade and know this to be true. More traffic headed to a sports park is a terrible safety hazard for all of us.

Alpine Park - I’m a family with little kids. I moved here for the nature and open space. Im concerned since living. In 5 years of being here I’ve noticed a need to create a system for the bikers, walkers, joggers, golf carts, horses, to commute with less vehicles from Alpine Blvd - Tavern Rd - and South Grade Rd. Please consider them fist - there’s no sidewalks. We don’t need more car traffic. Having less cars and preserving the nature we moved here for - the peace and quiet is what most want here. The culture here is not like any other SD city or town. This is a country area - out of the city. Mountain living for San Diegans. Less is more. Please consider keeping our town this way- there’s nothing more left like this in San Diego.

Fire is an ongoing concern in this area and due to drought water is limited. A more earth friendly park with better maintained roads for access seems a better long term vision. #WaterIsLife

1. Bad process: Community input ignored. 2. Bad plan: We don't need a "Sports Complex" here. 3. Too centralized: We need to disperse the park activities throughout Alpine so all neighborhood kids can get there safely.

Alpine needs a park WITHOUT a sports complex.

The design of this park is from last century. Alpine deserves a park designed for the 21st century and beyond, and County Parks can do better. It’s absurd in 2021 to spend $28M on a park that is in a drive-to location, will require an incredible amount of water to maintain, will duplicate athletic facilities we already have in Alpine and will pose serious danger to neighboring Wright’s Field Ecological Preserve. Give us an innovative, forward-looking park design that addresses the concerns and needs of today, and of the future.
