Tyler Crawford started this petition to Governor Gavin Newsom and

Help clearly communicate to the state of California and the Supreme Court that places of Worship should have the right to sing and praise. Amidst COVID-19 we all understand the urgency to protect the individual and the community. We are petitioning to lift this ban. All people have the freedom of religion, and worship is a staple in the majority of all religions established in america predating the existence of the United States, and what people came to the America’s for. The ability to worship and preach what they believe. This is setting a larger precedent for the shaping of freedoms for all Americans. What one entity is allowed to take away today, can ruin everyone for tomorrow.

We want to clearly define that the State of California Government and Department of health, as previously stated in there COVID-19 INDUSTRY GUIDANCE: Places of Worship and Providers of Religious Services and Cultural Ceremonies, are ok to make suggestions upon how to worship safely in a time of pandemic, however they can not remove their right to worship as stated on page 3 as, “*Places of worship must therefore discontinue singing and chanting activities and limit indoor attendance to 25% of building capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees, whichever is lower.”

Thank you for hearing us and making this adjustment as to not infringe on any Americans Bill of rights.
