On March 31, 2019 Ermias Joesph Asghedom better known as “Nipsey Hussel” was gunned down in front of his clothing store. To honor all his great achievements, the many ways he gave back to his community, and his entrepreneur success, I (Noah Grey Rhone) would like to make today something positive. A day where we show recognition to someone who not only bought the shopping plaza where he sold his mixtapes that give him his name in rap and hip hop, but a man that turned that same plaza into a focus for low income housing locals in south LA. Nipsey Hussel wasn’t just the typical rapper. His focus was being a great leader in his city, giving back to elementary schools, and learning about science and tech to teach the community he devoted his work too. He was a man that created the potential for change. That other places, cities, states, and people can all follow. So for his family. For his fans and for people around the world who appreciated him and feel as I do.. I’d like to make March 31st Ermiases holiday. To honor his name and the many ways he gave back to people like myself and others in his same neighborhood and all across the globe. The love, the appreciation, and many ways I am thankful is why I am dedicating myself to doing everything I can to make this happen. And with your help. And the help of others all across the globe.
