With many people getting vaccinated recently, it was announced in June that masks are no longer mandatory outdoors and in most indoor places, except high risks areas, to those who are fully vaccinated. But being vaccinated does not mean you are immune to COVID and with the new COVID-19 variant, Delta, the amount of COVID case have increased by about 30% since mid-June. While many people are yet to be vaccinated, masks/face coverings should be mandated state-wide and there should also keep social distancing and capacity limits required in public places/areas. Not only would this help prevent a start of a new COVID-19 wave but it could also help make it safe to go back to school for the upcoming school year. Overall I personally believe that we should continue to have restrictions enforced even if you are already vaccinated against COVID-19 to avoid the increase of COVID cases especially for those at high risk such as those who are not vaccinated or have health issues.
