This school year has been full of unexpected and unfortunate changes in the education system due to Covid-19. All of these changes have negatively impacted the students of CUSD in that we have struggled to get through the year, because of the new ways we have been required to "learn." 

Because the majority of us students are still in online school, it causes great pressure and unbalance when students are receiving different educations. We have been given the option to choose how to enhance our education through the new learning system. But now, despite our various ways of "learning," we are told that final exams are mandatory.

To pressure students into taking such standardized test during this anything but standard year, is unfair to all of us students that have done the best we could just to get all our assignments completed.  Despite the importance of school and our education, there are a lot of more important issues going on around the world.  

So, what do we propose? Optional finals. We should get the privilege to choose if we want to take final exams, like so many other schools are allowing their students to.
