Butte county as you most likely know is back in the purple tier (tier 1) for COVID-19. Let me remind you of the reason that butte county schools were closed in the first place last March. In the middle of last March all of California schools were closed due to California being catapulted into tier 1 just two months after COVID-19 was first announced to be in the U.S. My main question is, why aren't we closing everything now? The same amount of  people or more are dying daily. Plus we know much more about the virus then we did then. So why are we trying to act like its just going to disappear. You've probably heard this multiple times before, but I know people wont learn unless they are seeing or having to witness this first hand. 2 deaths and 183 new confirmed cases just yesterday. Imagine the families mourning, all of this could be stopped no more new cases, no more new deaths. All that would be required is a proper quarantine. People think they have nothing to lose, but through that they are just being selfish and inconsiderate. Please think before you do, your actions effect our whole county, our whole state, and in the end our whole country.
