In the US there are only 9 states that have bottle refunds, meaning you can turn a bottle in for 5 cents. Gatorade is not one of those refundable bottle in New York State. The only states that a Gatorade bottle is refundable in are Maine, Hawaii, and California. Gatorade bottles are getting left on the ground, and soon ending up in out oceans. People leave these on the ground because there is no motivation to recycle them.  An estimated 1 million marine animals are killed due to plastic. When a bottle gets filled with water, it sinks. Therefore that bottle will be there until a animal eats it. If we can reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean, we can reduce the amount of ocean mammals deaths. Help me get New York to put Gatorade bottles on the bottle bill.
