Save the former Windmill Hills Nursing home building in Gateshead

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500.

The former Windmilll Hills Nursing Home building on Half Moon Lane in Gateshead is a Grade II listed building that has been left to rot for the last 10 years. The current owners have done nothing to take care of the building resulting in it slowly falling apart, helped by people breaking in and setting fires and it becoming a magnet for drug use. The building is a health hazard and a danger to the community of Gateshead and in its current state an eyesore. It needs to be brought back into community use as an asset for the community. This petition is asking Gateshead Council to bring it back into the community as the current owners have no intent in using the building. They should be forced to sell it to someone who will or convert into a community asset for the Gateshead communities benefit..
