The dog laws pretty much state that a dog must die or be in the worse situation for animal control to take away a dog from someone’s home. I have a puppy 4 months old being neglected in my neighbors front yard. She barley gets feed one meal a day. She’s skinny. You can see her ribs and spine. Animal control has come out 4 or 5 times now and her living situation is better for sure. But it’s hurricane seasons. She’s outside 24/7. She’s a puppy. They don’t show her any kind of love or affection. It truly breaks my heart. She would have been dead if I wasn’t help taking care of her.

Since the puppy basically has to die for anyone to do anything about this, we as the community needs to stand up and change these laws. People get dogs thinking they can handle the responsibility but they soon realize they can’t. Then everything goes south and that dog is not being cared for properly.

AC(animal control) has been called on this puppy being tied up outside 24 hours a day with no human interaction. Does have little house and water and food. But puppy is starving for human interaction and AC can’t do anything about it. There have been many times that I’ve put food and water out for her because there was none. Even a toy and shelter at one point.

We would like to make the change that this is not a good situation and AC should be able to remove her and taken to a rescue where she could find a home, where she could live inside and know what it’s like to be loved.

The laws need to be heavier than what they are today. A puppy should not be left outside 24/7 in 100 degree heat. Barley checked on in a day. Not fed properly. Can’t reach her water bowl and food because she’s on a lead and gets wrapped around things for hours and can’t move cause she’s all tied up around things. There’s nothing animal control can do? Seriously?

Well I think it’s time for these laws to change on animals and for people to stand up for what they truly believe is right. I will not let this go. Please help me change the county we live in. If you love animals. Help me!
