Living in the SLC, we are not required to have a meal plan. We are all provided with a kitchen stove, oven, and sink; however, we are not provided with a grill, the most common and best way to cook multiple type of meats. Other dorms at USU such as Canyon Crest, Bullen hall, and Central Suites, all which require residents to have meal plan, have a propane powered grill within 100 yards of their complex. The SLC also holds the most first year students on campus. Students of which are learning to cook for their first time away from home. We would like to request a propane powered grill for the SLC community in order to better the eating and dining situation for the students housed here.
