Three years ago, Loft released their plus size clothing line which included sizes ranging from 16-26. According to recent statistics from Vogue Business, the plus-size clothing industry is currently valued at $178 billion globally and has a projected annual growth of about 4.3% until 2028 due to popular demand. Additionally, many well-known clothing companies are introducing a plus-size clothing line to their businesses, including, Anthropologie, ASOS, and Athleta. But while these companies are increasing their variety of sizes, Loft announced that they will be discontinuing their plus size clothing line by the Fall of 2021 due to business challenges arising as a result of COVID-19. 

It is disappointing to see a brand that has been previously appreciated and supported for its inclusive size ranges and inclusive advertisements regressing back to oppressive systems of weightism, outrageous societal pressures, and beauty standards. We ask that you sign this petition to convince The Loft against the removal of their plus-size clothing line.
