Over 2,000 people die each year from lead poisoning in their water.

In 2014, Flint, Michigan's water was not safe for drinking, and the diseases that the lead water caused included pneumonia. At the end of the year, it was recorded that the number of deaths caused was 74 percent higher than the year before. The town was only relieved of its problems in April of 2018.

In September of 2018 at the International High School in Brooklyn, many students raised money so that their school could get brand new water fountains. They raised  over five thousand dollars, but after the fountains were installed, the students were informed that they would not be in use due to the lead pipes at the school.

People across the country deal with this problem every day. By signing this petition,  you will help spread awareness about lead pipes and the problems that they cause.
