Boycott Gap Inc. They are selling even more fur this year!
Nov 24, 2015 — Dear Friends,
Last time I posted an update, it appeared that we had made a lot of progress. I was in frequent communication with Janelle Erickson, the Director of Public Affairs, and there were only a few fur items on Intermix’s website. Janelle made it clear that I should not expect to see more fur listed, and even lead me to believe she personally wanted GAP to become fur-free. Our last conversation was 3 months ago and since then, I have not heard one word from her. I’ve emailed and called countless times with no response. To make matters worse, Intermix is now selling significantly more fur than they did last year. (Please see here: http://www.intermixonline.com/search.do?query=fur).
It is simply appalling. GAP Inc. should be ashamed, especially after making false promises to us regarding their fur policy. GAP readily touts its reputation as an environmentally sustainable company that treats its customers, employees, and factory workers with the utmost respect.
Please help me let GAP Inc. know that we see through their veneer of compassion.
I want to make sure Gap Inc. knows how seriously we are taking this campaign and that no profit justifies suffering of fur-bearing animals. Recently, GAP's profits have markedly declined and we are now entering an extremely important season for their bottom line.
This is why I’m asking you to join me in formally boycotting ALL GAP Inc. stores.
1) Do not shop at any GAP Inc. stores (Intermix, GAP, Old Navy, Athleta, Banana Republic) and remind friends and family to do the same.
2) Join the community by joining this Boycott Gap Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/boycottGAPInc/ and share on your personal page.
3) Click here to tweet at Gap Inc. that you’re joining the boycott: http://ctt.ec/Y0j7D and sure to follow @BoycottGap (https://twitter.com/boycottgap) on Twitter.
Through these channels, I’ll post updates about this campaign, tweet at GAP’s leadership, and strategize with you all on how we can win this campaign!
Thank you for standing with animals,
