Pokémon fans have been shocked and disappointed at the amount of neglect given to the next main series games: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Events like reusing underdeveloped animation, not returning the National Dex, and not having a variety of Legendary Pokémon are just a few of the choices Game Freak and Nintendo have made with these new games. Game Freak has also announced that they'll be shifting focus away from Pokémon, which is surprising, considering the fact it's their most profitable innovation. Now, they are developing simple apps to be downloaded and calling that "an innovation". Turning the Pokémon series into apps indistinguishable from any other company's game ruins the experience and turns the hard work that Satoshi Tajiri did in the 1990s to nothing. If you boycott these games, we can tell Game Freak and the licenser Nintendo that as consumers of a decades-long masterpiece, we deserve to see our beloved game be given it's full attention on a console.
