Galloway/Port Republic Citizens Against Motorcross Track

Every citizen deserves peace and enjoyment in their homes. Approval of the Galloway motocross track will subject residents to LOUD, excessive, fatiguing noise! There are homes just steps away and the noise will infringe on many tax paying citizens who expect their elected officials to protect them from this type of project. Property values will plummet. Galloway Township council approved an option for a motocross track to a redevelopment zone (why? this was zoned residential) on Pomona Road at the border of Port Republic. This is in close proximity to many homes in a environmentally sensitive area next to the Pinelands Reserve and Green Acres bordering the Mill Pond trails. The surrounding area is a habitat to endangered tree frogs, bald eagles, Barred Owl, Cooper's Hawk and pine snakes. The site is in within walking distance to Stockton University , Port Republic, Four Seasons at Smithville, and Swan Lake resort. The area is tranquil and rich in natural resources. We have nothing against motocross, but we have something against allowing it as an option on this site! Some of us find it irresponsible and even abusive to those living in close proximity.
