Companies such as Moderna and Pfizer own patents to produce COVID 19 vaccines and are currently the only Corporations allowed to produce and sell these vaccines. Wealthy Nations such as Canada, USA and other G7 countries have the financial ability to buy hundreds of millions of does of vaccines while developing nations and poorer countries such as India and South Africa cannot afford to purchase the necessary number of doses for their citizens. There are 100’s of Labs around the world that are capable of producing these vaccines and could do so at a much reduced cost and greater output if permitted to do so. It’s essential to vaccinate as many people as possible in every country if we are to rid the world of COVID 19. To that end the intellectual property agreements regarding the production of COVID 19 vaccines must be waived. By waiving these agreements generic vaccine production will be increased dramatically at a much more affordable cost. 
   Please share this petition and demand your political representatives pressure governments to waive intellectual property rights for the production of COVID 19 vaccines. Doing so will bring an end to wave after wave of infection, lock downs, economic hardship and death and suffering.
