Why this petition matters

Started by Class 11

We cordially request you to read the reasons and conditions for the petition for a better understanding of our situation and desperation.

This petition is made but the Science and Commerce students of 11th standard of G.D. Goenka Public School, on behalf of all the 11th graders. It is signed by the students and the respective parents. we are writing this is to issue the postponement of our upcoming Unit -3  Examination, which is to be held from 7th of February.

Reasons :

  •  As we know that we've been allotted a huge amount of syllabus (which is the whole term 2 syllabi) for this examination, we are struggling to complete our syllabus in such a short period of time.
  • Because of the rapid completion of the chapters by our teachers in the reach of completing the syllabus, didn't help to prepare better. Thus we are not in a position to sit for the examination.
  • And to state one of the biggest issues, is the online classes. The online classes were no help to our situation. And also this is unfair to us as mostly we have studied in the online mode but are bound to give the exams offline.
  • This is now taking a serious toll on our mental health too. We are under so much pressure, which is leading to depression.
  • Also being said that the standard of the question paper is set high, adds more to our anxiety.
  • Some people are also having trouble with not providing the transport during the exams. Students living far are facing trouble managing their way.

So our condition is this Unit -3 Examination should be postponed for at least a week so that we get a little more time to prepare. And also we should get a minimum of 3 weeks for the preparations of our Term 2 Examination too. Also, this is a normal test, and should not be treated as Pre-boards, because we are not the ones appearing for the Boards, like Classes 10th and 12th.

So I'd request for this petition to be considered seriously and take action as soon as possible.
