Concerned FWISD Parents & Educators started this petition to FWISD School Board Members

Join parents, administrators and teachers helping influence our FWISD school board to bring back the option for in-person learning for our students. Adding an in-person learning option as soon as possible (while still allowing for virtual learning) is the best course of action for our students, teachers and district. If you agree, please sign the petition below.

On Tuesday, September 15, the FWISD board voted 5-4 to allow for in-person learning to start in early October. Shortly after that September 15 vote, the board resubmitted an agenda to reverse that ruling and keep virtual-only learning till November and possibly more. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD for the FWISD board to allow the option of in-person learning NOW.

On Thursday, September 17, Governor Abbott continued his “Open Texas” order to increase the capacity of restaurants, gyms, libraries and other retailers up to 75% capacity. Almost all DFW school districts are either already offering in-person or expecting to do so in the next 2 weeks. Take time NOW to INFLUENCE our FWISD school board to follow our Governor’s lead and the lead of so many other school districts in opening FWISD back up to in-person learning!
