The no bonnet rule at WHHS directly targets students of color without providing a safe alternative. Allowing baseball caps does not allow women of color a safe alternative to come to school feeling confident. Faculty needs to do better and talk to the student body directly to find a better compromise that will not negatively impact our students of color.
