Taylor road middle schools dress code is not only sexist it discriminates against POC and people who have more developed body’s than others. It’s not fair the boys can wear whatever  while girls are penalized. It’s no secret that dress codes have nothing to do with “boys being distracted” and more about teachers who don’t know how to control themselves. Girls who are most developed than others are the main target of the schools dress code and this is not fair considering this is something that girls have no control over. And NO we are not saying that it’s appropriate for students to wear very revealing clothes (Boobs, Butts, any Genitals) BUT shoulders and a belly button is not something that students should be dress coded for. And when it comes to certain items that’s POC where including Durags and certain rappers etc… there is NO reason why they should be dress coded that is racist and prejudice AND hats the reason behind not being able to where hats is sooooo outdated schools need to realize the hoodies and hats are some of the only ways students feel comfortable and they don’t need to be punished for wearing them ESPECIALLY when they are minding there business. So please sign this petition to end all this once and for all.
