This petition reflects the beliefs of parents whose children are students within Fulton County schools. Due to a region having a Covid caseload of one in a thousand people, The District announced on 8/5/2021 that masks would be required indoors for particular schools. Data and metrics given to justify this mandate were extrapolated and manipulated based on information the CDC itself says is faulty.  ‘Cases’ cannot be accurately determined if the test used to diagnose said cases cannot differentiate between coronavirus and the flu.  This is essentially a "shut up and obey because we said so" policy. This will now be the 3rd consecutive school year impacted by a virus that carries less risk than the seasonal flu to our children. It's time to return to normal and let our kids see each other's smiling faces every day. 

We represent a growing number of concerned parents, advocating on behalf of our children, who continue to needlessly bear the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The purpose of this group is to voice our opinion as parents to allow a choice for a mask-optional environment for all indoor and outdoor settings. We have all read the various studies for and against masks. After the readings and reflection on this past year, we feel that it is in the best interest of our children to return to school as mask-optional. We have to be the voice for our children or this may never end.

By signing this petition, you are stating that you would like schools within the Fulton County School District to allow masks to be optional while at school for the 2021-2022 school year.

Once again, let me stress, we are not asking for masks to be abolished we are simply asking that we keep our parental freedoms to make choices for our own children and have mask's optional for the school year.

Masks can scar them psychologically and some younger ones developmentally. How are children supposed to develop social skills when they can't see another's face, Sit together or play together?

*This petition is to remind everybody that once again the politicians and CDC are trying to  make decisions for our children.

*Less than 30 kids in Georgia have died due to covid in a sub population of 4 million people and here they are again saying that we have to muzzle up our children presumably to protect the adults.

*These masks are criminal for kids to wear.  WE are their parents, WE  Are   supposed to protect them,  To reassure them that the boogie man doesn't exist, That there are no monsters under the bed,  Yet here we are frightening them believing that they are being stalked by an invisible grim reaper in the air
 

 *Their basic rights are being violated.

  *Masks are a breeding ground for infections from mold, bacteria, and fungi.
