Almost every license can be applied for online except a Weapons Carry License (WCL) / Conceal Carry License. (CCL) in Fulton County

We need a digital system that will help expedite the process of applying for a weapons license, considering the climate we are living in, it is absurd that we do not have a digital system. City departments all throughout the nation has made strives for creating digital systems to help provide services to the citizens. Currently there is only one computer responsible for the processing of thousands of WCL / CCL applications for the Fulton County Probate Court-South Service Center location. 

I am a personal witness and victim of this over complicated system, as I stood in line for 8-10 hours in the rain and hot son for two days, seeking a license to exercise my Second Amendment rights and protect my family.

Here are some quick solutions I am suggesting to the City of Atlanta and all other counties struggling with keeping up with the application demands for WCL / CCL seekers.

1). Create a fully digital system - this system will allow us to apply online

2). Create a system that will allow us to initiate backgrounds checks for licensing online

3). We can then proceed to appear in person for application verification and fingerprinting.

These 3 steps can help take some of the burden off the city and take advantage of the digital age we currently live in.
