as a native american student, the mascot of this school is very offensive. most schools have animal mascots, and several natives including me have expressed that we’re uncomfortable with being treated like an animal. the school refers to their students as ‘indians’ and a ‘tribe’ even though several tribes have expressed that it makes us uncomfortable, yet our complains have been swept under the rug. we demand change of this mockery.
